Exercise Increases Your Blood Flow.
Vigorous exercise gets your heart pumping. While that is usually great for your cardiovascular system, it is strongly advised again if you have just had Botox treatment. An increased blood flow can cause Botox diffusion, moving the Botox away from the injection site and paralyze the surrounding muscles. This high blood pressure will eventually lead to bruising and swelling.

Are There Other Things I Shouldn’t do After Getting Botox Injections?

- Drinking too much caffeine
- Consuming alcohol

- Heading out in freezing temperatures

- Getting any other facial procedure done for at least two weeks

- Adding any pressure when washing your face

- Getting eyebrow treatment (waxed, tweezed, threaded)
What Exercises are Safe to Do After Botox?
Doctors recommend that you wait at least two days before exercising again. In those 48 hours, you should relax and focus on not compromising your Botox injections with silly mistakes.
However, some studies have shown that facial exercises can positively affect the appearance of wrinkles. As such, some doctors would say that light facial movements (such as smiling and raising your eyebrows) following your Botox treatment could help reduce wrinkles – as long as you don’t apply any pressure to the injection zones. 4 5
What Is the Right Age for Botox?
Botox is approved for anybody 18 years or older.
Most experts recommend that anybody between the ages of 25 – 35 is at the optimum age for preventative Botox treatment.
Additionally, there is no upper age limit for Botox injects. As a result, many people in their 60s and old receive the treatment and achieve favorable results.
Botox may do wonders when reducing wrinkles, but you should always stick to your doctor’s post-treatment advice.
